New international tennis tournament at De Rhijenhof: ITF The Hague Indoor 2026

From 15 to 22 February 2026, De Rhijenhof in The Hague will host a new international indoor tennis tournament. The first edition of ITF The Hague Indoor builds on the existing junior event and expands it with a full professional international circuit.

Expansion with WTT 35 Women and WTT 15 Men

ITF The Hague Indoor is a logical and important expansion of an event that previously focused solely on juniors. With the introduction of the 18+ professional circuit, the tournament becomes the indoor counterpart of the successful BICT Groep ITF The Hague, the largest outdoor clay court tennis tournament in the Netherlands, held annually in July.

ITF The Hague Indoor 2026 categories

The tournament will take place from Sunday 15 February to Sunday 22 February 2026 and features the following categories:

  • Juniors up to and including 18 years, part of the original event
  • WTT 35 Women, with prize money of $30,000
  • WTT 15 Men, with prize money of $15,000

The organisation expects a strong field of players from the national and international subtop and aims to establish ITF The Hague Indoor as a permanent fixture on the sports calendar of The Hague.

Second largest indoor tennis tournament in the Netherlands

According to Mark-Paul Burgersdijk, tournament director of both the indoor and outdoor events, the expansion marks an important milestone for tennis in The Hague and for De Rhijenhof.

“This expansion means a great deal to us. The confidence shown by the ITF, the Royal Dutch Tennis Association (KNLTB) and our partners confirms that De Rhijenhof is developing into a venue where tennis at every level comes together. We have been working towards this for many years. It is special to be able to organise a strong international indoor tournament in winter, alongside our successful summer event. After the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam Ahoy, this is the largest indoor tennis tournament in the Netherlands. It further strengthens The Hague’s position as a tennis city, with De Rhijenhof at the heart of the sport.”
